My definition of being fully human. Not to be afraid to show your true self to the world. Being fully human you can better yourself by accepting challenges. Being fully human includes physical and emotional actions. Face-to-face, in my opinion, is better, that way you can see the emotion on the person’s face, and better communicate what feeling they are showing.
As for myself in a virtual world, I am completely different. In the virtual world, you don’t need common sense as much as you do in the real world. I am more open and willing to discuss my feeling and hardships. In the real world, I tend to hide my real feelings. For example, I just now only told my husband that I am signing up for class and did it through text message.
All over watched by Machines, touches closer to home. I am an outdoor kind of person and it would just be weird to see some computers rolling around with animal life. His concept does roll with what is going on in the world today. Every day news reports are on new and developing things. Then again some of these things have already been in business. Like the delivery bots in foreign countries.

When I communicate online, I always tend to be a bit more professional. I don’t use slang; I spell out everything instead of abbreviations. I do tend to overuse emojis and exclamation points to project my excitement or happiness. In person, I am much more relaxed and use slang regularly. In-person, my personality has no problems shining through, whereas online, I have many more difficulties showing who I really am.
Being fully human means having all parts of yourself: body, mind, soul, and spirit are all interconnected to the universe. I believe we can express those parts of ourselves online, but I don’t think we can fully be human online. It is hard to feel that level of connectedness to the online universe.
All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace talks about freeing ourselves from our daily labors and returning to nature. I believe he is saying that we should be able to use technology regularly and not let it overtake our lives. It is good to take a break from technology and return to nature.
