Thesis: People with mental illness or developmental disabilities can benefit from social skills training, a form of behavioral therapy. Teachers, therapists, and other professionals can use social skills coaching to support people with anxiety, mood, personality, and other conditions.

Social skills training is not a specific curriculum but a collection of practices that use a behavioral approach for teaching preschool children age-appropriate social skills and competencies, including communication, problem-solving, decision making, self-management, and peer relations (IES,2013)
