1. In no fewer than 750 words, write a final draft critical essay about your chosen photographer. Your paper should include at least:

· Basic biographical information about the photographer

· A description of the photographer’s overall aesthetic and conceptual interests

· An interpretation of the meaning of the photographer’s oeuvre

· An evaluation about whether or not the photographer’s aesthetic and conceptual aims are achieved in the work

· A thesis statement about what the photographer’s work achieves

· Supporting discussions of three photographs from the photographer’s oeuvre that include brief descriptions, interpretations, and evaluations in relation to your thesis.

Include images of the three selected works at the end of your paper. You may scan or copy and paste images from books, periodicals, or other print sources, or you may use images taken from the Internet, as long as you properly cite the sources of those images. Your final draft will require MLA format image captions.
